Uganda has over 17 million children, 15% of whom are orphaned. That's 2.5 million orphans! According to the World Bank, 660,000 children were orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Uganda in 2022. UN statistics reveal that over half of Uganda's children under five years old suffer from malnutrition. The child mortality rate of this country is 60%.
