Lion of Judah Children's Home is being built in Mango Parish. In the neighboring village of Nabitula, many orphans struggle to survive.

Mary (holding the baby in the photograph above) was twelve years old when her mother died of AIDS in 2017. About one year later, her father went to live with another woman, abandoning Mary and her five younger siblings: Tereza (11), Jackson (10), Christine (8), Scovia (5), and Ivan (3). Mary has toiled, working on cassava and maize plantations, to help feed her brothers and sisters.

Making her life even more difficult, she often experienced horrible dreams in which "the spirit of her mother" would disturb her. One day, by God's grace, a Christian pastor prayed for her, and the nightmares ceased. Due to this wonderful deliverance from the Lord, Mary accepted Christ. All of her siblings have also chosen to serve Jesus. They faithfully attend Grace of Unity Church, founded by Pastor Wilson.

About two years ago, Mary became pregnant against her will. She gave birth in her home to a baby girl whom she named Sineya. Now, Mary takes Sineya along with her when she goes to work in the fields. Tereza is now married. Jackson, now eighteen, works part-time as he tries to attend school. With the help of their church, Christine, Scovia, and Ivan are able to attend school as well.

With donations from the United States, Pastor Wilson has recently purchased mattresses, bed sheets, and food supplies for this family.

Hosea 14:3

"...for in Thee the fatherless findeth mercy."
